About Us Watson Contracting

Watson Contracting began in 1992 as small landscaping company in Franklin, NC. For several years, Watson Tree service proudly served its customers and built a reputation as a company you can trust. With hard work and dedication owners Kevin and Dawn Watson were quickly able to expand their business. Kevin was able to increase his staff and purchase the necessary equipment to move into the grading industry.

In 1995 Watson Tree and Excavating was born and rapidly became known one of the best excavating services in all of WNC and Northern Georgia.  Watson Tree and Excavating focused primarily on lot clearing, residential home sites and septic system installation. With the quality of service and the great reputation with customers, the business continued to grow.

By 2005 Watson Contracting had expanded its services to include commercial and highway projects.

In 2008 Phillip Cochran joined the staff bringing eleven years of experience in highway, bridge and commercial site development. Since then Watson Contracting has expanded its government work to include completing numerous NCDOT projects as the prime contractor. Watson Contracting has expanded into a full service, turn-key site developer fully capable of all aspects of site preparation including storm drainage, erosion control, utilities and asphalt paving.
